Jonah 4:1-4 Jonah knows God is gracious, compassionate, patient, full of love, and forgiving. However, Jonah completely disapproves of God sharing His goodness with his enemies.
“The people of Nineveh have been quick to acknowledge their guilt and to stake their hope on God’s mercy. But in Jonah’s eyes they deserve all that is coming to them” (Baldwin).
Jonah wants grace for himself, but judgment for others. We often feel the same way.
