Ephesians 5:15-21 “being filled with the Spirit” is where we have yielded our will to God’s, and His Spirit inside of us is directing us both to will and to do what God wants us to do. Being filled with the Spirit does not mean become overtaken in frenzy, but it is allowing God’s Spirit to guide your every step, empowering you to do what the Scriptures here have commanded: walk wisely (v. 15), as children of light (v. 8), in love (v. 2), as imitators of God (v. 1), pleasing the Lord (v. 10).
When we are controlled by the Spirit in our daily actions, then we can walk wisely (as children who imitate their heavenly Father).
