Paul prays that Jesus will dwell, that is “be at home” in the hearts of the believers in Ephesian church members. The way that Jesus lives in your heart is that you surrender and let go of control and trust Him to live in your heart as His home. “Through faith” means you believe that Jesus is better than the sins you once kept hidden in your heart. Faith is believing that Jesus is more wonderful than anything else we’ve tried to content ourselves with.
