Ephesians 2:11-13 Reflecting on how Christ’s sacrifice brought you near to God—when you had been so very far away.
We once were far away from God and His blessings, but now, because of faith in Christ’s death we are now in Christ. We are no longer separated from God by our sin, we are now “near” to God, because we are alive in His Son, Jesus. In fact, in Colossians Paul says, “your life is hidden with Christ in God.” (Col. 3:3).
God doesn’t want us to forget where we were and what we were like when we were lost. His grace to us will be even sweeter when we regularly remember what He has saved us from, and what it cost Christ to redeem us.
