Ephesians 2:1-7
Do not miss the connection between this passage and the verses right before it. With immeasurable power, God raised Jesus from the dead. Eph. 2 starts out, “and you were dead . . .” The same resurrection power of God that raised Jesus from the dead works in us as we believe in Jesus’ death and resurrection for our sins. By His mercy, love, grace, and kindness God has made us alive in Christ.
