Ephesians 1:15-19
Life will always have its challenges and suffering. We can pray for ourselves and for each other that God would take away our pain or keep us from future pain, but what we need most of all is the ability to not only survive the trials but also to glorify God while we wait on Him to deliver us.
Paul prays for the Ephesians to be blessed with the kind of spiritual understanding that God has already blessed him with.
He wants us to know 1) the certain hope that God has called us to, 2) the riches of our heavenly inheritance, and 3) the awesome resurrecting-power of God in our Christian life.
