The Dawn of a New Era

Acts 2:1-13  The disciples are filled with the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. The miraculous events of Acts 2 mark the beginning of the church, but are not typical of the rest of the church age. The signs and wonders are given to confirm the messengers (Galilean disciples) and their message: salvation is found only in the crucified, risen Christ. A major change occurs here, as no longer are believers to come to Jerusalem and keep the Law, but now believers are to go out, proclaiming the gospel to those from every tribe, language, people and nation.
